# Installation

> Install the NanoForge CLI and verify your setup

## Requirements

* **Node.js** 20 or later
* A package manager: `npm`, `yarn`, `pnpm`, or `bun`

## Install globally

Installing the CLI globally exposes the `nf` command everywhere on your machine.

> [tab] npm
>
> `bash npm install -g @nanoforge-dev/cli `

> [tab] pnpm
>
> `bash pnpm add -g @nanoforge-dev/cli `

> [tab] yarn
>
> `bash yarn global add @nanoforge-dev/cli `

> [tab] bun
>
> `bash bun add -g @nanoforge-dev/cli `

## Verify the installation

```bash theme={null}
nf --version
nf --help
```

`nf --help` lists every available command. To see the options for a specific command, append
`--help` to it:

```bash theme={null}
nf new --help
```
