This guide walks the most common starting point: turning an idea into a runnable project.
1

Scaffold the project

The interactive scaffolder is the easiest way to start:
You’ll be asked for a name, language, package manager, and whether to include a server, Docker files, git, and so on. To skip the prompts, pass the answers as flags:
See nf new for the full flag list.
2

Look at what was generated

Move into the project and inspect it:
The most important file is nanoforge.config.json, the central configuration the CLI reads for every command. Each field is documented in Configuration file.
3

Run it

Your game now runs locally in development mode. The next guide, Develop locally, goes deeper into the dev workflow.
